Maple Farm

Are you looking for a skilled nursing community where your needs and preferences are the priority? At Maple Farm we ask questions like:  When do you want to wake up? What would you like for breakfast? Would you like to spend some time in the garden or join your friends in the great room? Your choices matter to us, because we know they matter to you.

A History of Serving

Maple Farm has a long history of serving the Akron and greater-Ephrata community. In the early 1900s wealthy Philadelphians visited Maple Farm to enjoy the fresh air and explore Lancaster County. In the 1940s, the property became the first licensed nursing center in Pennsylvania.

Person-Centered Care

In 2009 Garden Spot Communities purchased Maple Farm. An extensive renovation of the inside transformed the building while honoring the history and heritage of the architecture. In addition a cultural transformation to person-centered care changed the way you will experience short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing at Maple Farm.

Live with Purpose

Meaningful opportunities to engage with your community create a purpose-filled life. Trips to local restaurants, museums and stores as well as intergenerational interactions with local church groups and students from Conestoga Valley School District offer opportunities to grow, learn and connect with others. International interns work at Maple Farm for a year, sharing their culture, food and building relationships with staff and residents.
