Over the past year, the partners worked with Select Capital Commercial Properties (SCCP) to convert the historic early 1900s eight-story, 50,000 square feet former office tower into 39 independent living apartments.
The Exchange offers a mix of one- and two-bedroom luxury apartments designed for Active Adults ages 55+. Construction began in early June 2025. Garden Spot Communities manages the leasing and looks forward to welcoming the first residents early next week.
Many of the apartments will have spectacular views of the Susquehanna River. The complex offers a variety of amenities for residents including storage units, a pet washing area, a fitness area, community gathering spaces and meeting rooms.
Garden Spot Communities CEO Steve Lindsey says, “We are excited to expand our mission to create vibrant community for purposeful living into Harrisburg and we are honored to partner with Harristown Enterprises and Select Capital Commercial Properties to make this vision a reality.”
