To help people plan for the future, we offer an voluntary 401K program. After team members complete 90 days of service, we provide a straight, dollar-for-dollar match for donations, up to 5% of team members’ annual salary. Team members are fully vested for all contributions made to their 401K account.

Garden Spot Communities offers health, dental and vision insurance overage for all full time team members. Team members can make choices about what is the best coverage for their situation and can choose to purchase insurance coverage for their dependents as well.

Through our health insurance program we offer a health savings account, which empowers team members to save for medical expenses in a 100% tax deductible savings account.

We recognize that work-life balance leads to healthy employees so we offer a generous paid time off program that team members can use to cover holidays, sick days and vacations. In addition, if team members choose to participate in Garden Spot-sponsored Travel with Purpose trips, we offer a paid time off match.

Hourly team members receive holiday and weekend shift differential pay.

Team members receive paid time off for bereavement and funerals for close family members.

To help team members fulfill their civic duty, Garden Spot offers paid time off for jury duty.

Team members who are required to work on key holidays will receive supplemental holiday pay.

Team members who refer friends and family members to work at Garden Spot Village receive a referral bonus. In addition, some positions qualify for a Referral Bonus for Life and/or a Sign on Bonus for Life.

Team members can apply for up to $2000 in tuition assistance from Garden Spot Communities each year. In addition, separate scholarship funds are available.

Full time employees looking for their first home in Lancaster County apply for a forgivable loan to assist in downpayment or closing cost assistance.

Team members receive 30% dining discounts at Garden Spot restaurants.

Garden Spot’s state-of-the-art fitness facility includes personal trainers, indoor pool and a hot tub. Team members may use the center for free and family members can join for a small fee.

Through Everence Financial, employees can receive a free financial checkup or consult. Everence also offers a free financial planning and debt management program as well as free membership with Everence Federal Credit Union.

Garden Spot team members can receive counseling services through WellSpan. Each team member receives three free counseling sessions to work through grief, marital or relationship conflict and other stressors each year.

Team members can choose to work with a success coach. This coach will connect them to resources and help them be successful in their role.

Each team member receives personalized recognition from their team.

Appreciation events planned throughout the year include a summer picnic, a fall breakfast and a holiday party.

Employees are recognized for years of service after reaching 5 year milestones. i.e., 5, 10, 15, 20, 25… years of service. At 15 years, employees receive a 2-week paid sabbatical.

Team members may choose to participate in CPR and First Aid Training at no cost.

Garden Spot provides a free subscription for each team member to RightNow Media, a streaming library of more than 20,000 Bible study videos for leaders and families.

Local New Holland businesses offer discounts to Garden Spot team members. A full list of discounts can be requested from Human Resources.

Team members can request an 18% discount from Verizon on personal phone plans.

Members 1st Credit Union offers team members free membership as well as full services banking, which includes checking and savings accounts, mortgages, home equity loans and more.

Voluntary pet wellness benefit through Wagmo. Provides cash back for preventive and routine care expenses for all dogs and cats with no restrictions for age, breed or pre-existing conditions. Team members have freedom to use any veterinarian or service provider.

Garden Spot occasionally offers regional and international mission trips. Team members can participate in the trips and receive matched paid time off for the trips.

Short term and long term disability insurance is available to all team members at no cost. Short term disability begins after three days; long term disability begins after 90 days.

As part of the new employee onboarding process, employees are invited to complete frequent surveys to provide feedback regarding their experience. Employees are also invited to provide feedback through a survey annually.
